BREAKFAST
TABLE
The
Project
The Breakfast Table project represents our socio-scientific landscape. It orchestrates an immersive engagement with the ties we share
with economy, politics, societal conditions and scientific developments through the food we eat. We trace challenges in agricultural
crops such as potato and coffee as reflections of our collective socioeconomic predicament, drawing influence from the works of Leslie
Coleman. We invite you to take a closer look at what's on the table and inquire about what, where, and how these things came to GROW.
We extend this invitation with the hope that you will use more than just your sight and explore with your other senses such as taste,
smell, sound, and touch. As you encounter the different layers of this installation we hope you will reflect with us on themes of social
conditioning such as othering, discrimination, and social disenfranchisement that we are witnessing in current times.
